— 06 / Common questions

Before you book the review.

Who completes the website review?
Each review is completed by senior product designers and UX specialists who evaluate award submissions on Web Design Awards. You get the same eyes that critique standout sites every week.
How fast is the turnaround on a website review?
Most teams receive the full website review within five business days from kickoff. Faster turnaround can be arranged separately if a launch or board meeting is driving the timeline.
What types of websites can you review?
We review SaaS platforms, ecommerce stores, marketplaces, B2B websites, marketing sites, and web applications. If the product lives in a browser, we can audit it.
What does the website review focus on?
User experience, visual design, usability, conversion flows, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), messaging clarity, and Core Web Vitals performance issues that affect trust and action.
How is this different from a typical UX audit?
A typical UX audit stops at heuristic observations. This combines usability analysis with editorial design critique, conversion insight, and implementation-ready guidance with annotated screenshots and a prioritized roadmap.
Will we know exactly what to change after the review?
Yes. The report includes annotated screenshots, specific improvement examples, and a prioritized roadmap organized by impact and implementation effort, so your team knows what to ship first.
How much does the website review cost?
The website review is a flat $2,000 USD, billed once via Stripe at kickoff. There are no retainers, recurring fees, or per-page upsells — one fee covers the full audit, report, walkthrough video, and follow-up support.
Is the website review fee refundable?
Once the review is in progress, the fee is non-refundable because the work is already underway. If you need to cancel before kickoff, contact hello@webdesignawards.io and we will refund in full.
Do you redesign the website or only review it?
The deliverable is a written report plus a walkthrough video and a prioritized roadmap. We do not implement the changes ourselves, but we stay available to clarify recommendations while your team ships them.
Can you sign an NDA before the review?
Yes. We are happy to sign a mutual NDA before kickoff for products that are pre-launch, gated, or behind authentication. Email hello@webdesignawards.io and we will return a signed copy within one business day.
What information do you need from us at kickoff?
We ask for goals, primary audience, the URL or staging URL, optional analytics access, and the parts of the experience that feel underpowered. Most teams complete kickoff in a 30-minute call or an async form.
Can the website review be expensed or invoiced?
Yes. We can issue a PDF invoice or accept procurement docs for finance teams that need them. Email hello@webdesignawards.io with your billing details and we will route the engagement through invoicing instead of Stripe checkout.
