- How does Web Design Awards select award-winning websites?
- Every winner is reviewed against seven weighted criteria: user experience & strategy (15%), visual design & branding (15%), content & storytelling (10%), accessibility & inclusivity (10%), performance & technical implementation (20%), responsiveness & multi-device support (10%), and innovation & future readiness (20%). Final scores are published alongside each award and refreshed as judges complete their reviews.
- How many websites win awards each year?
- Web Design Awards selects winners on a monthly cycle, with each cycle producing a Site of the Month plus category award winners. Across a full year, roughly 60–120 sites earn awards depending on the strength of the field and category coverage.
- Are the award-winning websites still live?
- Yes — each winner's case page links directly to the live website at the time of nomination. Some winners later redesign or retire, but the screenshots and metadata in the archive preserve the awarded version for reference.
- Can I browse award-winning websites by year or category?
- Yes. Browse the year archives at /winners/2026, /winners/2025, etc., or filter by category, technology stack, or judging score. Year + category combinations like /winners/2025/portfolio also have dedicated indexable pages.
- How can my website be featured among the winners?
- Submissions are open year-round. Submit your site through the nomination form and our judging panel will review it against the same seven criteria used for every winner on this page. There is no fee to be considered editorially.
