What are Web Design Awards?

Web Design Awards is a global recognition platform celebrating excellence in website design and digital creativity. We evaluate and recognise outstanding websites across industries including SaaS, ecommerce, healthcare, fashion, technology, branding, and more. Our expert judging panel scores nominees on design quality, UX, performance, accessibility, and creativity.

Who runs Web Design Awards?

Web Design Awards is an independent platform founded in 2014, operated by a team of web design professionals and industry experts. Our judging panel includes experienced web designers, developers, UX professionals, and digital creatives from around the world.

How is Web Design Awards different from other design awards?

Web Design Awards focuses exclusively on website design and digital experiences. We use a transparent, criteria-based scoring system rather than subjective popularity votes. All nominees are evaluated by a human expert panel, and scores are published publicly so you can see exactly how your site performed.

Nominations & Submissions

How do I submit my website for a Web Design Award?

Visit our Submit page, create a free account, and fill in your website details including URL, category, and a description of your work. Select a submission tier and complete the checkout. Your site will be added to the current judging cycle and reviewed by our expert panel.

What types of websites are eligible for nomination?

Any professional website is eligible. We accept submissions across all industries including SaaS, ecommerce, healthcare, fashion, technology, branding, portfolios, agencies, and more. Both new and established websites are welcome.

How much does it cost to submit?

We offer several submission tiers at different price points. Visit our Pricing page for current rates. Each tier includes different levels of exposure and benefits.

Can I nominate someone else's website?

Yes, you can nominate any website you believe deserves recognition. Simply submit it through our nomination form with the site's URL and relevant details.

Judging Process

How are websites judged?

Our expert panel evaluates each website across six criteria: Visual Design (aesthetics and consistency), UX Design (usability and navigation), Content Quality (clarity and value), Accessibility (inclusive design), Performance (speed and technical quality), and Creativity & Innovation (originality). Each criterion is scored out of 10.

Who are the judges?

Our judges are experienced web designers, developers, UX professionals, and digital creatives. You can view all current judges on our Judges page. All judges are vetted professionals with demonstrated expertise in web design and digital experiences.

How long does the judging process take?

The judging process typically takes 2–4 weeks from submission. You will be notified via email once judging is complete, whether you win or not.

What score do I need to win?

Award winners typically achieve an overall score of 8.0 or above across all judging criteria. The Site of the Month award goes to the highest-scoring nominee each month.

Winners & Recognition

What do winners receive?

Winners receive a verified award badge to display on their website, a listing in the winners directory, global recognition and exposure through our platform and social channels, and a certificate of achievement. Agency winners also receive premium placement in our agency rankings.

What is the Site of the Month (SOTM) award?

The Site of the Month award is given to the highest-scoring website each month. It is the most prestigious recognition on the platform, receiving maximum exposure, a featured spotlight on our homepage, and a dedicated mention in our newsletter.

How do I display the award badge on my website?

After winning, you will receive embed code for your award badge. Visit our Badge Embed page for instructions. Badges link back to your award listing on Web Design Awards, adding credibility to your site.
