Web Design Awards is an independent platform founded in 2014, operated by a team of web design professionals and industry experts. Our judging panel includes experienced web designers, developers, UX professionals, and digital creatives from around the world.

How is Web Design Awards different from other design awards?

Web Design Awards focuses exclusively on website design and digital experiences. Awards are decided by expert jury scores against a published seven-criteria rubric - never by popularity vote. (The one community-voted title is Site of the Day, a separate daily pick.) All nominees are evaluated by a human expert panel, and scores are published publicly so you can see exactly how your site performed.

How do I submit my website for a Web Design Award?

Visit our Submit page and fill in your website details - URL, category, and a short description. No password to create: add your contact email and we send a one-click sign-in link that connects the nomination to your account. Pick a tier at the final step (a free path is available) and your site joins the review queue.

What types of websites are eligible for nomination?

Any professional website is eligible. We accept submissions across all industries including SaaS, ecommerce, healthcare, fashion, technology, branding, portfolios, agencies, and more. Both new and established websites are welcome.

How much does it cost to submit?

Premium is $49.99 per site, with a decision within 30 days. Rushed judging is $98.99 for a verdict within 48 hours, and a free path is available. Agency plans and other services are on our Pricing page.

Can I nominate someone else's website?

Yes, you can nominate any website you believe deserves recognition. Simply submit it through our nomination form with the site's URL and relevant details.

How are websites judged?

A judge scores each website against the 7 public criteria: User Experience & Strategy, Visual Design & Branding, Content & Storytelling, Accessibility & Inclusivity, Performance & Technical Implementation, Responsiveness & Multi-device Support, and Innovation & Future Readiness. Who are the judges?

Our judges are experienced web designers, developers, UX professionals, and digital creatives. You can view all current judges on our Judges page. All judges are vetted professionals with demonstrated expertise in web design and digital experiences.

How long does judging take?

It depends on the path. Premium entries get a decision within 30 days, typically 2-4 weeks, with email updates along the way. Rushed entries get a verdict within 48 hours. Free entries join the community queue and are reviewed as jury capacity allows - currently about a year out, and publication isn't guaranteed.

What score do I need to win?

Award winners typically achieve an overall score of 8.0 or above across all judging criteria. The Site of the Month award goes to the highest-scoring nominee each month.

What do winners receive?

Winners receive a verified award badge to display on their website, a listing in the winners directory, global recognition and exposure through our platform and social channels, and a certificate of achievement. Agency winners also receive premium placement in our agency rankings.

What is the Site of the Month (SOTM) award?

The Site of the Month award is given to the highest-scoring website each month. Only paid entries are eligible: Premium, 48-hour rushed and agency-plan nominations, not the free path. It is the most prestigious recognition on the platform, receiving maximum exposure, a featured spotlight on our homepage, and a dedicated mention in our newsletter.

How do I display the award badge on my website?

After winning, you will receive embed code for your award badge. Visit our Badge Embed page for instructions. Badges link back to your award listing on Web Design Awards, adding credibility to your site.
