Senior Software Engineer

Hands-on and senior in the load-bearing sense. You own areas of the codebase and make the architectural calls that come with that — across the curated index, the judging tools, and the hiring and agency marketplace.

What you'd do

• Ship features across the whole stack, from schema through to interface.

• Own significant parts of the codebase, and the architecture decisions inside them.

• Review code and bring junior engineers up, deliberately rather than incidentally.

• Take on the production work — performance, scale, reliability — that nobody assigns.

What we're after

• 5+ years professional engineering, with features you owned end to end.

• Strong in a modern backend language and a modern frontend framework.

• Relational databases, APIs and web architecture are familiar ground.

• Comfortable in a small, fast-moving, distributed team.

Nice to have: Performance work, Accessibility, SEO-heavy content platforms, Mentoring.
