Web Design Awards / Remote
Web Design Awards is hiring a Technical Writer - Remote.
The rubric, the scoring and the submission rules are only fair if they can be read. You write the documentation that makes a judged process legible to designers, studios and hiring teams.
What you'd do
• Document how judging, scoring and submissions work, for every audience that touches them.
• Turn the rubric and its criteria into plain-language guides, FAQs and help content.
• Write the onboarding material new judges, submitters and agencies are handed.
• Re-read what is already published, and fix it as the rubric and the process move.
What we're after
• You have written documentation for a web product, not just marketing copy.
• You can explain a rules-based process - scoring, eligibility - without losing the rules.
• Editing and proofreading to a standard where accuracy is the whole point.
• You can get what you need out of people and turn it into finished content.
Nice to have: Design or creative-industry writing, SEO for web content, Help-centre structure.
Web Design Awards has been judging the web's best work since 2014 — the curated index, the judging tools, the hiring board and the agency marketplace behind it. This role is remote, on a small distributed team.
