The project distinguished itself through exceptional user experience and performance, earning strong marks across all evaluation criteria and affirming its place among the most accomplished digital properties of the season.

The Council of Curators is pleased to announce that the Egyptian National Hockey League — accessible at egyptianhockeyleague.com — has been selected as the Site of the Month for August 2025. Developed by the team at Higglo Digital, the site represents a sophisticated convergence of modern web technologies and purposeful design, delivering a digital platform worthy of a national sporting institution.

The project earned commendable scores across all four evaluation pillars: an 8.1 in Visual Design, an 8.3 in both User Experience and Performance, and a 7.9 in Creativity, resulting in an overall score of 7.3. Built upon a robust technical foundation of Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB — with intelligent integrations including the OpenAI API and Stripe — the site demonstrates a measured and deliberate approach to engineering that serves its audience with clarity and speed. Deployment on Vercel with Turbopack further contributes to the platform's notable responsiveness.

Our ambition was to create a digital home that reflected the growing stature of hockey in Egypt while meeting the expectations of a modern, global sports audience. Every architectural and design decision was made in service of accessibility, speed, and engagement. We are honored that the Council has recognized this effort.
