Awards/Submission/Ecommerce websites

Submit your ecommerce website for an Award.

Ecommerce sites are judged on the full path from discovery to checkout. Web Design Awards juries look at how the brand reads on a category page, how product detail pages handle real product photography, and whether the cart and checkout feel like they were designed by the same team that designed the home page.

How ecommerce entries are scored.

Same rubric, vertical-specific weight
01

Brand expression

How distinctly the brand reads across the site — from typography and colour to product photography direction.

02

Discovery & PDP craft

Category navigation, filtering, and product detail page execution. Judges note image craft, copy voice, and merchandising.

03

Cart & checkout craft

The cart, address, and payment flow are part of the design. Friction, polish, and brand continuity all factor in.

04

Performance on real connections

Image-heavy stores are scored on Core Web Vitals as shipped, not on a perfect lab run.

Ecommerce submission FAQ.

Does it matter what platform the store runs on?
No. Shopify, custom builds, headless stacks, and Squarespace stores are all judged on the same rubric.
Can I submit a single product or campaign page?
Submit the live store at its primary domain. Campaign or product pages can be linked from the description, but the entry is the storefront as a whole.
Will judges actually go through checkout?
Judges browse to a real cart and add an item to evaluate the cart and checkout craft. They do not place real orders.
