What the jury actually scores.

Criteria and weights are public, and every scored entry's breakdown is published on its nominee page - so you can trace exactly where a score came from.

- 0115%

User Experience & Strategy

Intentional journeys that earn the visitor's time. Strategy must be visible in the design, not assumed.

- 0215%

Visual Design & Branding

Visuals that feel both original and unmistakably on brand. Decorative competence is not enough.

- 0310%

Content & Storytelling

Messaging that communicates value quickly and rewards deeper exploration. Words count as much as pixels.

- 0410%

Accessibility & Inclusivity

Inclusive practices that serve diverse needs. Baseline compliance is the floor, not the ceiling.

- 0520%

Performance & Technical Implementation

Engineering that makes the experience feel immediate, stable, and trustworthy. Heavy sites do not win.

- 0610%

Responsiveness & Multi-device Support

Layouts that adapt fluidly across breakpoints and input modes - not just a mobile fallback of the desktop view.

- 0720%

Innovation & Future Readiness

Work that pushes the medium forward - original concepts, responsible use of new technology, durable thinking.

Things people always ask.

What does Premium add over the free path?
The same jury scores every path against the same seven criteria. Premium buys time and eligibility: a decision within 30 days instead of the community queue's roughly year-long wait, a guaranteed permanent nominee page on our DA 58 domain, Site of the Month eligibility, an award certificate if you win, and social and editorial promotion. If we can't judge your submission, you get a full refund.
Do I need an account to submit?
No - there's no password to set up. Add your email in the form and submit; we connect the nomination to that address and email you a one-click sign-in link to follow it. Drafts save on your device as you type, and once you've added your email we can send a resume link if you leave before submitting. Already have an account? Sign in first and the entry is added to it.
What do I need to submit?
Your live URL, a site title, a two or three sentence description, and your email. Autofill can pull the title, description, and a cover image from your site's metadata. A cover image (1600px+ wide looks best), up to five highlight screenshots, categories, tools, and social links are optional - without a cover, we use your site's preview image.
How long does judging take?
It depends on the path. Premium entries get a decision within 30 days, typically 2-4 weeks, with email updates along the way. Rushed entries get a verdict within 48 hours. Free entries join the community queue and are reviewed as jury capacity allows - currently about a year out, and publication isn't guaranteed.
What do winners get?
A winner badge for your site, a permanent, Google-indexed nominee page showing the award and your full scorecard, and a place in the winners archive. If an agency is credited, the win counts toward its place in our agency rankings. Premium winners also get a PDF award certificate, and only Premium entries are eligible for Site of the Month.
Can I edit my nomination after submitting?
You can update details before payment. For changes afterward, email hello@webdesignawards.io within 24 hours and our team will help.
Can one project fit multiple categories?
Yes. Pick up to five categories that match your work so it's listed in the right places.
